Karate instructor - Leon Brian Beech
Sensei Leon Beech born 2 May 1955 commenced practicing karate on 2 September 1977 and was graded 6th Dan on the 21st November 2009 by Kaiso Johan Roux. He has made lasting contribution to South African Karate in the following positions:-
- 1992 President of the unified All styles karate Association of the Western Province
- 1992 Secretary General of the all styles unified national body, Karate Association of South Africa.(KASA)
- 1993 President of Karate-Zen International.
- 1996 Secretary General of the Union of African Karate Federations(UFAK)
- 2004 Appointed Secretary General of the new South African karate body, Karate South Africa(KSA) by the Minister of Sport.
- 2008 President of Karate South Africa
Sensei Leon is in the forefront of transforming South African Karate and instrumental in persuading the World Karate Federation (WKF) to grant South Africa Membership in 1994. He is an administrator unparalleled and uses karate as an educational tool for the youth. In 2003 he was appointed CEO of the Northlink College in the Cape.
